June 21, 2003 A wreck in practice put Jammie in a bind early on in the day. Unfortunately, after only racing his new car once, Jammie got into some oil that had been spilled on the track and spun right into the wall during one of the practice runs. The car was too mangled to fix by race time so Jammie took it to the shop and brought out the old car. He started in 10th for the 50-lap race. On the opening lap he passed the 00 of Jimmy Adkins and then on lap 7 the 68 of Kevin Cunningham. There was a caution on lap 16 when the 16 of Jeff Sampson spun on the frontstretch. On lap 18 Jammie fought to get by the 34 of Paul Debolt and finally gets the position. On lap 24 the 28 of Billy Fisher got into the dirt in turn 2, causing a brief caution. On the restart Jammie manuevered his way by the 14 of Shaun Balluzzo to gain the 5th position. On lap 28 Balluzzo got into the back of Jammie in turn 3, sending him into a spin. Fortunately Jammie kept the car away from the wall and other cars. He then had to start at the rear of the field. Determind to fight his way back to the front, Jammie passed Sampson on the outside on lap 29, Fisher on lap 33, the 67 of JT Jackson on lap 36, and the 1 of Ricky Derrick on lap 45. Time, however, ran out and Jammie finished 9th. --Melissa Hilbourn, Goode's Motorsports Reporter
